Morishige is a calm, independent young man with big ambitions. He dreams of becoming a famous actor, while as it stands he resorts to being the lead actor in the Academy's drama club. His best friend is Mayu Suzomoto, who designs costumes and writes scripts for him. He cares a lot for her, and is seemingly the only person that he allows to give him a nickname; that nickname being "Shig bro".

While being calm and collected, Shig keeps all of his emotions within him, trying his hardest not to show them, especially if he is angered or upset. When not with Mayu, he prefers spending time by himself, usually browsing the internet on his cell phone, or rehearsing lines for the drama club. He is never hesitant, nor cowardly, and he will face anything that comes at him. Although gullible, he is fairly intelligent and never lets his high grades fall.

Whilst in Heavenly Host, Morishige was unfortunately the first to succumb to insanity. He chose to take photographs of the corpses he came across, as he felt that they "kept him sane". Even then, he still seemed relaxed, and found the dead bodies intriguing rather than frightening. Running into strangers did not faze him, and he simply could not care whether they chose to join him or leave him, although he much preferred travelling on his own. Eventually, once stumbling across his best friend's corpse, and hearing her voice communicating with him, Morishige fell victim to his ever-growing insanity and committed suicide, jumping out of the third floor window.
